Navratri Celebration

Every year, we organize a vibrant and colorful celebration of this Hindu festival in Belleville. Our goal is to bring together members of the community to celebrate and honor the goddess Durga, while also promoting cultural awareness and understanding.

Our festival typically includes a variety of events, such as traditional dance performances, live music, and delicious food. We also organize workshops and activities for children, such as face painting and crafts, to help them learn more about the festival and its significance. We also invite local community and families to attend our events.

The impact of our Navratri Festival on the community has been significant. It provides an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together and celebrate a shared cultural heritage. It also helps to promote understanding and respect for different cultures, which is especially important in today's diverse society.

Through our festival, we've been able to build stronger connections within the community and foster a sense of belonging and pride. We hope you'll join us for our next Navratri Festival and experience the joy and beauty of this wonderful celebration for yourself!

Diwali Celebration

As a Diwali committee with City of Belleville (Volunteer)

We have hosted our first Diwali celebration in 2019 by inviting students and family members (indoor). City of Belleville made a Diwali Committee in 2021 and We started our involvement as a committee member. It continued in 2022 with the help of BCC and we had a great turn out at Zwicks park. Belleville International had provided volunteers (Dancers , Performers, Stage helpers ) .

It included performances of Indian music and dance, traditional food and drinks, and lighting of diyas (oil lamps), fireworks, Rangoli , face painting , henna.

We encouraged everyone to dress in traditional Indian attire. This can help create a festive and inclusive atmosphere and understanding.

Overall, It was a great to be a part of City of Belleville Diwali committee and great way to recognize and celebrate the cultural diversity of the community, and to promote a sense of inclusion and belonging.

Belleville International's Cricket Association

Belleville International's Cricket Association. We are a group of passionate cricket enthusiasts who are dedicated to promoting the sport in our community. We have been organizing cricket tournaments and events for the past few years, and we have seen a growing interest in the sport among the local youth. We've also invited a few cricket teams from Oshawa, GTA area, Montreal last year.

We are a non-profit organization, and we had a great experience working with local school grounds and any other relevant authorities to ensure that we can utilize the ground in a responsible and respectful manner. Our efforts to promote the sport and engage more young people in our community.

We believe that having a ground where we can play cricket during the summer months would not only benefit our organization, but also the wider community. It would provide an opportunity for young people to engage in a healthy and enjoyable activity, and it would help to promote multiculturalism and diversity in our community.

Community Champion 2023 Award by MP Ryan William (Bay of Quinte)

One more Big achievement 🏆🎉
( Bay of Quinte Community Champion 2023) #BayOfQuinte ❤️

◾️ Hardik (Founder of Belleville International )wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation to Community who have nominated me for this award of the outstanding community champions in our region. Helping others is my passion , This couldn’t be happening without the freedom and support that my #PARENTS provided me
When I was in my country and now virtually !
( Even though I haven’t seen them in last 5 years )

◾️As an international student and the founder of Belleville International - Bay of Quinte , an organization dedicated to bridging the gap between International students/ newcomers and #local communities, I feel an immense sense of pride and gratitude. Being an active volunteer in different organizations in our community is also a major motivation.

◾️Being an international student can often bring a unique set of challenges and opportunities. However, through Belleville International - Bay of Quinte we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for newcomers, fostering a sense of belonging and integration within our local community. Our aim is to celebrate diversity, promote cultural exchange, and facilitate meaningful connections between international students and local residents. I have faced many challenges and obstacles but I would want to remove those barriers for new #internationalstudents and #NewComers✌️

◾️Receiving recognition for our efforts from a respected representative like yourself means a great deal to me and the entire Belleville International community . It reaffirms our belief in the importance of fostering unity, understanding, and cooperation among individuals from different backgrounds.

◾️ We would also like to extend our gratitude to Ryan William- MP of Bay of Quinte for his tireless commitment to serving our community. Your support and advocacy have been instrumental in creating an environment where initiatives like Belleville International ( Quinte International ) can thrive. His dedication to recognizing and appreciating the contributions of community champions is truly commendable.

Once again, thank you for acknowledging our #volunteer work in community and the work we do at Belleville International. Your recognition #inspires me to continue making a positive impact and strengthens our resolve to foster a harmonious and inclusive community.

If there are any opportunities or resources that community believe could further our mission, we would be grateful for any guidance or support you can provide. Together, we can continue to build a community that embraces diversity and empowers individuals from all walks of life.

🏆 Love you all my community members, stakeholders, collaborators & mentors 😃
